Thank you to everyone who came to our meeting on Saturday!
You can find the handout from Saturday here, along with all previous handouts and solutions. We will release the solutions to the PIE handout tomorrow and the solutions to the Probability handout on Wednesday.
We’ve added an additional section on conditional probability, several more examples (including a solution to problem that had contained an error during the meeting), and lots of extra problems to the handout. We encourage everyone to try the extra problems for practice, even if you came to the meeting.
The meeting next week is back to Sunday, July 28, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. However, we will be in Meeting Room E. This meeting room is on the second floor, along the back wall. See here for a map of the library.
We’re sorry about all the changes in time and location. Unfortunately, we are only able to reserve one meeting room at the library at a time. This means we can reserve meeting rooms a maximum of one week in advance. We’d like to thank you for your patience and cooperation over the past few weeks for when the library’s schedule conflicts with ours.
We welcome all feedback, so feel free to reach out and email us at info@iowacitymathcircle.org if you have any. In addition, please let us know if you catch any errors in the handouts or have any questions. We’re grateful for your help in improving our material.
Since we’ve recently updated our email address, if you are missing a reminder email from us please check your junk email to make sure. We also have Facebook and Instagram for the Math Circle now. Like and follow us for more updates!
We hope everyone has a great week, and we look forward to seeing everyone again next week!
